My name is Kortney, and I’m the founder of Big Bear Picnic Co. I’m also originally from Big Bear. To me, Big Bear is more than just a tourist destination, it’s my home. Big Bear has always been a place where I wanted to plant my first business roots; the community is unlike anywhere else. I’ve always had a love for interior design. I’m notorious for saying, “see the bones”, I try to see the beauty in everything and spend most of my time searching for inspiration. Everything can be built up, torn down, changed and rearranged to create something beautiful. Picnics are a way for me to do all of those things. I get to be a part of the community by creating something beautiful while focusing on the scenic gems that surround us in this mountain haven. Our mission is to give people one of a kind experiences, while putting smiles on their faces. I’m so excited for this journey, and I really hope everyone truly enjoys the magic we put into each picnic.

Here’s what’s up
Big Bear Picnic Co. started out with a way for me to channel my love for creating. I have always had a passion for all things tabletop and decor! I’m the first to notice the small details in every creative display and respect their very purpose. I love creating picture perfect experiences that can create memories to last a life time.
As a local to the beautiful mountains of Big Bear Lake I have watched this little town of ours turn into one of the most desired spots to travel to in California. With so much surrounding beauty and fresh air there’s no question in my mind as to why! In fact, that’s why I have decided to add to the Big Bear experience by finding a truly unique way of gathering.
